Still Steamin' by Mary-Ann Mackinnon
A book of Mary-Ann Mackinnon's well loved compositions for pipe bands and solo pipers.
Still Steamin' is a book of bagpipe tunes inspired by both the people and the places Mary-Ann has visited and as many of the titles suggest, follows her journey around Scotland and further afield. Many of these tunes in this book are on renowned recordings, some of which are listed below. Mary-Ann is especially known for her excellent bagpipe concert pieces which make up a good part of this interesting collection along with her delightful solo piping pieces. This is a book to be enjoyed by all pipers, regardless of playing ability, and other musicians alike. It is a well illustrated publication that people will have pleasure in browsing though, as well as trying some of the tunes.
