Tutors:

Our well-known Scottish music tutors offer lessons from beginners to advanced at mutually agreed time. They are all experienced tutors who have played Scottish music solo, in bands and taught individuals and groups for many years. For more information on these tutors please check the biographies on our website.

 What you will learn:

  • You will be taught by ear or with music - you can choose .
  • The music will be traditional Scottish music.
  • You will be provided with the sheet music by email after the lesson.
  • Attention will be paid to technique, tone and rhythm to help you get the most out of your instrument and Scottish music.
  • We will help you build an exciting repertoire so that you can play with others
  • The tuition can be provided from the beginners to advanced. It would be helpful if you let us know your level when you book the lesson.

Step 1: Get started with your Skype

  2. 2. Check your webcam and mic are working well and lighting is good.
  3. 3. Choose a place where you are not disturbed.
  4. 4.Tune your instrument and be ready for the lesson.
  5. 5. Phone the tutor’s Skype account by clicking the green phone symbol at the time agreed.

Step 2: Email info@scotlandsmusic.com to arrange time and date.

We will try to accommodate your requested time. Please confirm the lesson by email 24 hours before the lesson time. Remember the time differences if you are not in the UK. 

Step 3: Confirmation email of lesson time and price with tutor. Payment in advance.

Terms and Conditions of Scotlandsmusic Skype lessons:

All users of the on-line tuition service must agree to follow these terms and conditions.

Users must agree to follow the terms of use of skype.com http://www.skype.com/company/legal/terms/tos_web.html.

Payment must be received in advance of the lesson. We will not enter into an agreement to provide on-line tuition to the user until payment has been received.

Lessons must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

Scotlandsmusic.com can not be held liable for service interruptions or technical faults. If a lesson is disrupted for these reasons Scotlandsmusic.com may reschedule the lesson at its discretion but refunds cannot be made. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Lessons last for 30 - 60 minutes and up to five minutes of this time may be used to solve any connection or set-up problems.

Parents will need to be present at the beginning of the lessons with young people to aide with technical issues.
