Mrs. MacLeod of Raasay (sheet music)

This reel is published in the 5th Gow collection 1808. The name McLeod of Raasay is associated with Johnson and Boswell’s tour in 1773. Mac -a - Phi and Stad a Mhairi Bhanarach are two very popular Gaelic songs which use the first and second halves of this song respectively. It is one of the best known and played Scottish tunes and very popular on the bagpipes and fiddle.
