This song is not from Lewis but a delightful song from Glendaruel in South Argill. This song has become popular in many parts of Scotland and as with many songs, verses have been included to localise it, to make the scenario familiar.
That is why references to Glendaruel and Stornoway almost in one breath don't sound in the slightest incongruous to the Gaelic audience and are accepted without question.
