The fair sailor lad (sheet music)

From Moffat's 'Minstrelsty of the Scottish Highlands' (1907), where the Gaelic words of Hebridean origin are translated by Henry Whyte. Whyte was an active collector of Gaelic folk-tunes towards the end of the 19th century. Many well-known Gaelic songs survived because of his efforts.
