This is a very popular strathspey in Scotland and Cape Breton. Well known fiddler Sarah Naylor is the player on this track and you will be able to see from the video very clear fingers and bowing so you can copy her easily.

You will learn how to play the Scots snap, which is one of the most recognisable rhythmic patterns in Scottish music. The tune is played in several ways with the option of playing it with simple separate bows or with the more complicated "up driven bow".

Sarah explains the tune phrase by phrase carefully and repeats it for you as well as explaining the bowing styles.
