Ach Weel This is a recently translated version of a round "Hey ho, nobody's home" whichis well-known internationally. The translation was made by Maggie Fraser, astoryteller and farmer from Aberdeenshire. She came up with the Scots wordswhile weeding the biodynamic carrots on the farm!

Hey ho nobody's home,
Meat or drink or money have I none
Yet I will be merry.

Ach weel, naebody's hame
Meal or ale or siller hae I nane
Gin I'll aye be cheery.

Venga, vamos alla
Vamos juntos a la mansion

Wind that blows over the top of the large pine trees
Joy of the wind that sings
Let's go into the great wind.
