Music from the Western Isles (album)
Music and Song from the Western Isles recorded by the School of Scottish Studies over thirty years ago in an effort to preserve and promote the song and tune traditions known to the older generation.
This is one of the most popular of the series and has a lovely selection of tunes and songs for learning or listening. Including choral work songs, mouth music, canntaireachd, pibroch and other Gaelic songs.
These songs were sung by many different traditional Gaelic singers from the Western Isles.
