Margaret Scollay (biography)

Margaret Scollay from Shetland, began fiddle lessons with the late Tom Anderson when aged seven. She was part of the first intake of pupils in 1973 when lessons became available in Shetland’s schools. She continued lessons with Trevor Hunter until leaving school and taking up the post of fiddle instructor herself. She remains active as a musician in her own right playing fiddle, teaching or providing piano accompaniment to local groups and dance bands.
