Simon Fraser Collection Volume 2 (e-book)

This is an interesting collection which was compiled by Captain Simon Fraser who died before it could be published. His son Angus edited the first of five proposed books which were to contain 49 airs each but unfortunately he also died before the rest of these volumes could be edited and published. These were to be called volume 2 of The Airs and Melodies of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and delivered in five quarterly parts.

This is the first of the proposed five volumes called volume 2 and contains many interesting Gaelic melodies and good material for those looking to research or play less well known tunes on fiddle or other instruments.

Reviews

"I want to commend you on the marvelous work that you do at Taigh Na Teud! I am so thankful for what you all are doing in preserving the old songs. I would have no other way of following my passion for these old fiddle tunes. It is a wonderful thing to be able to have these and I am so grateful for yourself and efforts! I look forward to doing more business with you."
